Getting Back in the Black

The Peterson-Pew Commission has just released its second report, Getting Back in the Black, offering recommendations for how to fix the broken federal budget process.

The current budget process leads to poor fiscal outcomes. In Getting Back in the Black, the Commission details a set of reforms to the budget process designed to help policymakers achieve a fiscal goal to put the budget on a sustainable path, an idea advanced in the Commission’s first report, Red Ink Rising.
